A Work in Progress

SpecMusicMuse Review: The Exodus Gate by Stephen Zimmer

Nephilim, a One World Government, events of apocalyptic proportions. Just another “Christian End Times” fiction, you say? Well, not exactly.

In The Exodus Gate, Stephen Zimmer begins a seven-book epic (and secular) saga that combines the myths of Judeao-Christian, Babylonian/Sumerian, and Assyrian apocalyptic texts with an added dash of his own epic dark fantasy twist (and possibly an esoteric sprinkle or two of gnosticism), and weaves a tale that rivals The Lord of the Rings in its scope and The Stand in its characterization depth.

Being the first in the Rising Dawn Saga, this book’s primary purpose is to set up the overall world and introduce the large cast of characters (with the main character being Benedict Darwin), each with their own agendas and sometimes even secrets (I, personally, am already rooting for Erishkegal, but that’s just me). But there is still plenty of well-paced action and plot to keep you reading. The main downside I had was the sheer size of the book. It’s only half the size of The Stand, and I wanted More! Dammit! More!

Some readers might be put off by the size of the book, and if you don’t know it’s basically a large chapter in a grand sweeping saga then you also might feel lost near the end. But the characters will grow on you, especially the An-Ki–Zimmer’s unique take on the werewolf myth–loyal and honorable servants of Adonai.

Overall, it’s a fine start to what promises to be an awesome saga that will keep you reading for days (in between a nap or two, of course).

And besides, Erishkegal is awesome!

Best read while listening to: Epica, Megadeth, Enya, pretty much anything epic or mythological in sound.

Chimeraworld #6 (new world disorder) available now from Chimericana Books

Chimeraworld #6 (new world disorder) available now from Chimericana Books
In the near future, the world awakens to the corporate threat of the New World Order: a leaderless resistance defeats the global elite.

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 13, 2009 – Chimeraworld #6 (new world disorder)
Chimericana Books

It’s becoming more and more obvious that Corporate Profit and the monetary system that drives it allows mankind to commit the most unholy crimes ever fostered upon humanity.  Corporate Profit is control.  Corporate Profit is secrecy.  Corporate Profit is ruthless.
But without ‘money’, there’s no method for generating a momentum to continue to push technology as far as it will go under a military-industrial agenda.  Who says so? And also, there’s the ‘Sword of Damocles’ threat of Eugenics associated with the corporate agenda.  I personally find the Eugenics pill the most difficult to swallow but history is telling us that’s where we’re headed so that the Banking Elite can enjoy their planet.
And that’s what they truly believe, that it’s their planet, that they have the right to it.  Not anyone else.
So, cancel Money (most of it’s fiat money anyway, based on debt and tending to hyper-inflation), cancel Profit, cancel Private Ownership and Patents, cancel Countries, cancel National Insurance numbers because all these invented concepts increase the likelihood of our demise as a planetary species – our mass murder.
But how can such a liberated civilisation contribute to the proper use of the planet’s resources.  What is the aim of a planet of willing intelligent people helping the world be a better place? Where’s the fun in that?
We need to seriously consider the possibility that Progress can exist without Corporate Profit, that we as a people can cooperate on Free or Open Source projects that help mankind to live in creative harmony.  Take away the incentive, release the guilt; destroy the agenda, secrecy and horror of controlled corporate contemporary life.

Oxford, UK-based artist/writer Mike Philbin has been at the helm of the Chimeraworld series from Chimericana Books from its inception five years ago. It was intended as an antidote to the dull, grey horror-genre franchise that has stained our retail shelves in lieu of good horrific escapism. The ‘genreclectic’ themes have been:

#1 twenty three bizarro tales
#2 twenty three tales of total madness
#3 twenty three tales of spiritual decay
#4 twenty three tales of traffic mayhem
#5 twenty three misfit tales.

Yes, there are twenty-three writers from all over the planet in each issue of Chimeraworld. A unique feature of Chimeraworld #6 (twenty three tales of leaderless resistance) is that You The People are an active part, this year, and space is given for YOU to note down how you helped affect a real change on this planet.
Military industrial complex, detention camps for dissidents, rfid chip global tyranny, false flag terrorism, biochemical attack, martial law on our streets, total surveillance state, the suppression of knowledge is power . . . following a mass awakening, the global elite are annihilated.

Chimeraworld #6, contains stories depicting the world after the coming revolution, as mankind returns to a life stripped of Capitalism and Mass Media Propaganda. A world without the Google-fuelled glare of the bankers dictating every move you make. A world of travel, a journey through real freedom. An uncensored world of chaos, uncertainty and anarchy. A world of social and spiritual enlightenment; no money, no banks and no business loans.
This is the story of how yourself and your family get by once everything you know about Modern Society has been eradicated, when the Global Elite’s power grab has been exposed and has failed in spectacular fashion. What was your part in the revolution and how did you contribute to new world disorder?

Chimeraworld #6 is a testament to the awakening of mankind, stories about immersion in the galactic melting pot – hardcore experimentation, dimensional travel, body-swapping with alien races, DNA bartering, galactic superheroes, real cultural exchange. New morality, new belief systems, new family, new social life, no more wars, creativity is king, liberation from the daily grind. Stories from Alex Severin, Tina Starr, Paul Pinn, Andrew Hook, Danny O’Connor, James A. Stewart, Arley Sorg, Robert Guffey, Sheri Fresonke Harper, Justin Oldham, Thomas Henry Dylan, Mitchell Warren, C. C. Parker, Jeff Drake, Tim Lieder, Aaron Polson, Scott M. Sandridge, John Walters, Peter Diseth, Kevin James Miller, Richard Marsden, J.W. Ocker and You The People.

Chimeraworld #6 comes out from under that stomping corporate jackboot and shows the six billion free people of this planet how they won!

Chimeraworld #6 (new world disorder) is available now in American trade paperback format 6″ by 9″ trade paperback from Chimericana Books.

Writerly Update 10/12/09

I finally got my computer fixed and now in the process of playing Catch-up yet again. Sigh. Just when I thought I was on a roll…. 😦

Due to the possibility of the H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine killing millions of potential readers, Mike Philbin decided to release Chimeraworld #6: New World Disorder early. It’s available now.

“In the near future, the world awakens to the corporate threat of the New World Order: a leaderless resistance defeats the global elite. Stories from Alex Severin, Tina Starr, Paul Pinn, Andrew Hook, Danny O’Connor, James A. Stewart, Arley Sorg, Robert Guffey, Sheri Fresonke Harper, Justin Oldham, Thomas Henry Dylan, Mitchell Warren, C. C. Parker, Jeff Drake, Tim Lieder, Aaron Polson, Scott M. Sandridge, John Walters, Peter Diseth, Kevin James Miller, Richard Marsden, J.W. Ocker and You The People.”

I perused a couple stories when I got the PDF to proof my little tale, “Transhuman”, and I have to tell you it’s some of the most emotionally powerful stories I’ve read in a very long time. Fortunately, the PDF arrived and I was able to proof my story before my computer got whacked by a bunch of viruses.

Also, “A Nighttime Business Arrangement,” will appear in the upcoming anthology Dreams and Screams. So that makes two nice anthos this year for you to get.

And, last but certainly not least, I’m this month’s Featured Author for Issue 5 of Digital Dragon Magazine, so be sure to check out my humorous little tale, “ASSP on Europa.” 🙂

Oh, and I moved. So in addition to getting my reviews for Withersin caught up and F&T updated, I also have to notify a few people of my new address.

And sign a couple contracts.

You get the picture.

Also, I had a minor role in the audio play, Night at the Ballet: Giselle. I play one of the gravediggers. 😉

“Transhuman” to Appear in Chimeraworld#6 (New World Disorder)

Yep. Just sold a short story to Mike Philbin of Chimericana Books for his annual anthology, Chimeraworld, with its 6th issue having the theme New World Disorder. Each story is about what the world may be like after the Global Elite fail in their plan to bring about their “New World Order.”

My story, “Transhuman,” takes place in the former United States after it has broken up into several independent States, as a small community of survivors find themselves facing D.C.’s next great threat: a verichipped “transhuman” supersoldier.

Chimeraworld #6: New World Disorder will be out by Christmas ’09. I’ll let you all know when the exact release date comes out, etc.

The Obama Deception (Full Movie)

The Obama Deception (Full Movie)

Once again, Alex Jones delves into information that you’ll rarely ever hear about in the mainstream news. He even reveals a few things that I hadn’t even been aware of (and as you all know I tend to follow this kind of stuff pretty closely, especially in the past couple of years).

Red Pill Moment #2

“What if…?”

The one question all fiction writers ask themselves on a daily basis, so this question is nothing new for the majority of my blog readers. Here’s a few “what ifs” I’ve asked myself over the last couple years, but since Dr. Paul speaks so much more eloquently than I do. 😉

Christian Cyberpunk Novelist to Speak

Award-winning Christian Cyberpunk author Frank Creed will be appearing in Second Life, Tuesday, January 20 at 7 p.m. For Second Life residents the direct link to the location is

This will be an informal discussion in which Creed will share about his writing, his life and the state of Christian speculative fiction. Questions will be entertained by Creed. Afterwards, plans include virtual surfing and socializing. Creed is the founder of the Lost Genre Guild, a group of writers, editors and publishers of different types of speculative fiction with a Christian worldview.

“Christians own the copyright to demons and angels and spiritual warfare,” notes Creed. “Yet, the bookshelves of Christian bookstores are almost totally devoid of speculative fiction except for some fairly sanitized young adult fantasies. Nevertheless, there is a small, but growing, group of writers and independent publishers using modern technology to make quality Christian speculative fiction available.”

Creed is the author of Flashpoint and War of Attrition, both published by Writer’s Café Press. Set in a future where fundamentalist Christians are considered terrorists, these books follow the exploits of a group of supernaturally cyber-enhanced resistance fighters using nonlethal weapons in an attempt to protect members of the underground church from the “Neros” or agents of the government seeking to crush the resistance and “re-educate” their members.

“I guess I created the first Christian Cyberpunk novel identified as such,” says Creed. “There was a series of books published in the 1990’s which might qualify as the first, but they were never marketed as cyberpunk.”

In addition to writing the novels, Creed also helped co-author a role playing game based on the stories.  “I’m a gamer from way back. So, it was
only natural for me to want to create an RPG where my readers could enter the world of The Underground, ” Creed explains.

Flashpoint has received critical acclaim and won several awards including: Best Science Fiction Novel of the Year (Elfwood 2006), CFRB Best Novel Toured Award (2007), finalist for the Pluto Award for the Best Science Fiction Novel Reviewed, and was nominated for the Christian Science Fiction and Fantasy Clive Staples award. “Jesus understood the power of the story to communicate in his world. We are creating the parables of a new generation,” says Creed.

Obama Backing North American Union

Say goodby to USA’s national sovereignty, folks.

United States of America: 1776 – 2008 (R.I.P.)
North American Union: 2009 – (whenever they decide to merge the continental unions together into a one world dictatorship.)

Again, don’t blame me. I voted for Ron Paul (and later Chuck Baldwin). ;p
